Immediately loaded fixed full-arch implant-retained prosthesis: a solution to the extreme defect in zone 2—a case report

Abstract Background Implants immediately loaded full-arch prosthesis in maxilla is always a challenge, especially when the zone 2 extremely defected. To achieve satisfying result, different therapeutic alternatives have been proposed, such as zygomatic implant, pterygoid implant; however, precise surgical skills limited its application. Case presentation This study reported case that an edentulous patient was treated with new technique, two axial implants and four tilted supporting immediate fixed denture, extruding cortical bone of anterior wall maxillary sinus to establish primary stability. Conclusions Two-year follow-up proves it viable choice. Meanwhile, reliable method for saving time money low level discomfort patients presented.
